Wente offers two outstanding food plans for your Troop to choose from; Dining Hall service or Jamboree style cooking. Dining Hall service provides 3 fully prepared meals a day in our dining hall. Jamboree style allows your unit to prepare meals in your campsite. Both plans provide excellent, well-balanced, and nutritious meals. Dining hall meal service will be done in 2 shifts per meal. Your Unit will be assigned a shift during your orientation tour of camp. Each unit eating in the Dining Hall will need to provide a waiter per table for each meal. Waiter duties will be explained during the orientation tour of camp. Waiter call is 15 minutes before each meal. Special Dietary Needs We will do our very best to accommodate special dietary needs. Such needs must be communicated clearly, in writing, at least two weeks in advance of your arrival. Please submit items you can eat as well as those you cannot. You can fax, email or mail your information directly to camp. If you need to speak directly to the Camp Cook, please call the Camp Office. Cobblers Does a cobbler fresh out of a Dutch oven sound good to you? We offer units the chance to sign up to make cobblers in their campsite. If you want to make cobblers, just sign up in the Trading Post.
